Lead Pastor - Neil Horner
Pastor Neil grew up in rural Indiana and so goes the , Cows, Cable, Cosmetics, College, Construction
and Church story. Growing up in the church Neil had responsibilities which led into leadership at a very young age and filling most every position available except for pastorate. His first real
job while in high school was on a dairy farm prior to college. He worked in a cable factory and partnered with Shirley when they purchased cosmetic franchises. At the age of 39 he decided
to go back to college to get a Christian Ed degree just to assist him in lay leadership. During this time he realized the call on his life into full time ministry which led him to pursue his Masters
of Divinity at Asbury Seminary.
Neil served on staff at Grace Point Nazarene in Fort Wayne, Indiana for 2 1/2 years and then accepted the lead pastor position at Duneland Community Church in Chesterton, Indiana for 5 years. Pursuing a possible church plant opportunity, Neil & Shirley moved to Knoxville, Tennessee for over a year, and with that door closing, proceeded to Canton, Georgia and ultimately planting Red Sea in Sep 2010.
Neil's current bi-vocational status is chaplaincy and lead pastor. He is amazed at how God has brought the foundation of Red Sea together and is excited about the future. His passion is to share the ways of Jesus that transforms lives that transforms families that transforms a community.
